I'm sorry. I guess I should apologize for being a concerned citizen. Or even offer apologies for being human. That said, my week has been consumed, preoccupied really, by the arena of our national election: perhaps the most consequential election in our modern history. I admit to being riveted to CNN until I knew the outcome of the presidential race; a race that will certainly hold enormous implications for the future of American public education. It was a process that consumed the better part of a week, and it consumed the majority of my mental and emotional capacity to offer insight, perspective or wisdom. It's taken a few days to recover from the stress of it all.

I'm better now. I believe I have some clarity regarding where we're headed. I'm confident I can now resume my advocacy of a re-imagined system of public education.

I'll be back at it with next Monday's post. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
